    The Stellar South

    July 12, 2015

    Siouxsie

I'm writing from Raleigh-Durham airport right now and I am thoroughly and flat-out exhausted from this weekend. My travel was INSANE on the outbound journey. Wrong airports, cancelled flights, 4 hour drive. ALL WORTH IT.

These first two photo shoots for the NAPB were an absolute blast. The enthusiasm, kindness and personal style of the guys really came through in the photos. JD from Charleston Police Pipes and Drums was an absolute trooper in the brutal 102 degree Charleston heat and humidity, as well as our awesome photographer, Deirdre. I would have hung out with her all day long if I could!  Would you believe their band has already sold 20 calendars?  It's not even available for pre-sale, yet! (technically).

Luckily, it cooled off a bit for Jason from Wake and District Pipe Band in Raleigh. Personally, I don't know if I could have handled another day shooting in that heat.

On top of everything else, I visited two cities I've never been to and met some interesting people I now consider my new friends.... AND I got some great swag in both cities!

What a stellar groups of individuals that I spent time with over the past few days. Southern Hospitality is REAL, y'all!!

Stay tuned on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updated info on the NAPB Calendar and always be sure to check out the W&T Events page for what's happening in Scottish events in your area of the world!

    Slainte!
