Today is such a fun day!! Well.... first I have to get the day job out of the way. It's April Fool's, which I love. It's so much fun seeing what people come up with. Then tonight, it's the #TartanAffair ~ the NYC red (or tartan) carpet premiere of Outlander. I'll be there for the screening, Q&A and after-party. Jealous?
Well, with the multitude of silly stories swirling around the net today, I'm getting a huge kick out of some of them.
One has Climbers taking snaps of themselves on Toronto’s high-rise Edge Walk around the top of the CN Tower were in for a surprise this week when they took a look at their holiday snaps once back on the ground. The group, who were travelling with tour company Canadian Affair seem to have inadvertently photographed the Loch Ness Monster swimming around in Lake Ontario. How Nessie managed to cross the Atlantic remains a mystery…
Yet another has the Red Hot Chilli Pipers scheduled to play in space! Invited by, of course, Richard Branson. That's one show I wouldn't miss for the WORLD (pun intended). I'll ride Willie's coattails all the way to the stratosphere! Read more on their Facebook page.
"Valspar has created the world's first Tartan Roller so that DIY enthusiasts across the UK and Ireland can finally decorate their walls with the popular pattern, curren
tly riding high on the fashion agenda.
The battery operated Valspar Tartan Roller features a removable paint cartridge with seperate chambers, designed to house enough paint to cover a feature wall. For larger surface areas, external tubes can be attached to each chamber to draw paint direct from the tin.
A single button activates the paint flow with a handy spirit level in the handle ensuring lines stay straight. A number of different tartans are available form Royal Stewart to MacIver.
Scott Macdonald, product manager of Valspar Europe, commented: "Being from Scotland, I am incredibly proud to be involved in such a pioneering project that is set to change the face of interiors across the world. There has been a lot of trial and error, but we think we have finally managed to crack it with the unique roller and innovative paint combination."
